Marine Engine Oil

Description

INDY Marine Oil is a premium grade, heavy duty, marine crankcase oil, designed specifically for use with higher sulphur fuel where longer oil drain intervals are required.  It is blended from virgin base oils and fortified with additives providing good alkalinity, dispersion and oxidation resistance.  This premium oil is designed with combined cylinder and crankcase lubrication or separate cylinder lubrication which supplements the splash lubrication from the crank case.  These additives disperse the large amounts of soot left as residue in the crank case after fuel has been burnt off.  High level of alkalinity reduces the corrosive sulphur additives that are formed during combustion and are effectively neutralised keeping the wear of cylinder liners to a minimum.

Application

INDY Marine Oil is suitable for use in marine crankcases calling for the API classification CF-4.  Please note that this oil is not to be used in engines fitted with silver piston-pin bearings.
