Multipurpose Grease for Food Machinery
Description
Indy Food Grade Grease is manufactured to a NLGI 2 grade, resulting in a grease of medium to soft consistency. Indy Food Grade Grease is manufactured using pharmaceutical white base oils which are carefully blended to produce a highly shear stable foundation for the grease. This base oil foundation allows the product to perform in applications where light loads and medium speeds are typical.
Indy Food Grade Grease contains a calcium-based thickener resulting in a buttery appearance with good shear stability characteristics. In addition, this type of thickener is pumpable, has a moderate resistance to heat and is exhibits excellent water resistance. The optimal operating conditions for Indy Food Grade Grease ranges between -30 to 110 °C, however short periods of elevated temperatures can be tolerated without severe
damage to the product.
Application
INDY Food Grade Grease may be used for all enclosed bearings, slides and cams, where incidental food contact may occur. Typical applications include bottlers, canners & fillers; packagers & wrappers; tabletisers & capsulators and central lubrication systems.
