Lubricants Industrial Quench and Circulating Indy Quench
INDY Quench is a range of premium quality quenching and heat transfer oils manufactured from premium quality solvent refined paraffinic base oils. These oils have excellent volatility characteristics, while good anticorrosion and thermal stability minimize sludging. INDY Quench 32 is a general purpose quenching oil and gives a quenching rate approximately one third to that of water. INDY Quench 22 is an accelerated quenching oil intended for smaller work pieces where shallow hardening is required.
INDY Quench Oils are normally used in heat treatment of medium to high alloy steels which do not require a high quenching rate and are liable to crack if water quenched. These oils are also suitable for use in heat transfer systems operating at elevated bulk oil temperatures. Efficient heater design and good pump circulation will extend oil life.
